When Governor Schwarzenegger unleashed his special election on California's working families, Assemblyman Leland Yee stood strongly with the nurses, teachers, firefighters and union members who were under siege. Assemblyman Yee raised tens of thousands of dollars to defeat Propositions 74, 75, 76 and 77 and undertook voter outreach programs to monolingual communities.
As a strong friend of labor throughout his public career, Assemblyman Yee has already earned the early endorsements of many California union locals, including the California Nurses Association, UNITE/ HERE Local 2 and the California State Council of Laborers. He continues to fight for a living wage, jobs, and employment protections for working people.
